Mandates

Platform mandates define shared expectations for product teams building on the Trimble platform. Each mandate covers why it matters, what you need to do, how conformance is measured, and where to get started.

1. Common Data Definitions

Access to common data definitions are managed via the Trimble platform IAM services and surfaced through the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).

2. Unified Account Management

All users and account admins manage every aspect of their Trimble relationship through central interfaces: My Profile and the Admin Console.

3. Enterprise Telemetry Adoption

All Trimble products—Cloud, Desktop, and Device—must adopt Trimble enterprise telemetry solutions and publish enterprise telemetry to the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

4. Product Capabilities as Platform Capabilities

All product teams must catalog and contribute their atomic functions and algorithms to the shared Trimble workflow platform.

5. Standardized APIs, MCPs, and Gateway

Access to Trimble's capabilities will adhere to the standardized API structure and be managed through a unified API and/or MCP gateway.

6. Standardized Device OS & IoT Flow

All future Trimble embedded systems and devices must adopt the Trimble Bedrock OS Framework and standardized IoT flow.

All customer data assets—files, objects, and big data—must be stored in or referenced by Trimble File Service and Trimble Connect.
