Trimble Credits

As part of the Commerce Digital Transformation program, Trimble is enabling its users with credits-based metering across applications. This program lets Trimble users provision credits (a type of fiat currency) for their accounts, and lets Trimble applications configure the amount of credits consumed based on feature usage.
A successful rollout replaces coarse cost estimation with granular clarity by linking expenses directly to specific project workflows and real-time usage. Aligning cost to value improves bid accuracy, enhances financial governance, and drives higher expansion revenue compared to traditional subscription models.
This documentation is a guide for product teams who want to integrate Trimble Credits into their application.
What Pilot release provides
Section titled “What Pilot release provides”Pilot release of Trimble Credits provides two major functionalities:
- Credits Provisioning — allows Trimble account admins to register for credits, purchase credits, request charge backs, subscribe to autopay, and so on. This is mostly used by account admins and users, not integrators, and is out of scope for this guide.
- Credits Consumption — high-throughput APIs that let Trimble applications ingest usage events. These usage events consume the account’s credit balance. Credits Consumption also lets applications fetch the account’s current balance.
