Events overview

All the lifecycle changes that happen on licenses and entitlements are published as events using the Trimble Events Service. Product teams or any integrators can consume these events by onboarding to Trimble Events Service and get notified of these changes. Based on these events, the consumers can make necessary changes within their systems.

EMS v4 integrators can subscribe to license and entitlement events in staging to develop their integration plans. There are two common application use cases for subscription to events:

  • Customer communications on entitlement and licensing changes
  • Synchronization with other systems that store entitlement and licensing information.

Integrators can consume events either through the WebSocket or REST (HTTP) API protocol. The Events Service WebSocket SDK is only available in .NET, Java, and Python.
