Provide a new template

Unlike the previous email service, users will not upload email templates. Templates must be input into the system through our Template Submission Form.

Please see Best practices for more details and formatting recommendations for your email template. We recommend using the Template Generator Tool for creating email templates to create emails that are compliant with the Trimble Email standard.

To complete this request, you will need to submit:

• The main point of contact for receiving feedback
• Business Unit Information
• Template Name with no spaces
• Name of the Sender - To be displayed in an inbox, not in email_address
• Dynamic Variables for your email body (Such as recipient_first_name)
• Provide comma-separated values of Trimble Identity Application IDs that should be authorized to use this template in Staging, and Production. You can subscribe to the Transactional Email Service and find your Application IDs on the API Cloud Console.
• Email content in HTML and text formats in a .zip file generated in the Template Generator Tool provided.
• All variables must be specified in the template using the format {variable_name} .
• Variables cannot contain a -, please use _ instead. For example, {first_name} instead of {first-name}. Allowed naming conforms to the following regular expression: [A-Za-z_][A-Za-z_0-9]
• Subjects localized by language code in JSON format.

Once you submit the form, you will receive an email with the Jira ticket ID and follow up comments on the approval status & templateID.
