Section titled “11 July 2024”This is the first production release of the file service. Below are the details of the release of new features included in this release:
Key Features:
Section titled “Key Features:”Organize files by space: Upon creation, each filespace automatically generates a root folder, serving as the starting point for organizing files and subfolders.
Access Control: Filespaces utilize Access Control Lists (ACLs) to manage permissions, ensuring secure access and operations based on predefined roles such as spaceManager, contentManager, contentContributor, and contentViewer.
Versioning: Both files and folders within a filespace support versioning, allowing users to track changes and maintain historical data.
Operations: Users can perform various operations within a filespace, including creating folders, uploading files, managing metadata, and restoring deleted items.
Regional isolation: Files and metadata uploaded to the File Service will be stored in region-specific cloud data centers and users can upload the data using the region specific endpoints.
Since this is the first production release of the File Service, please refer to the file service api specification for more information. Subsequent releases will include additional features and enhancements.
