🚀 RELEASE NOTES

🛡️ Trimble Identity

🔐 Security & Compliance

  • Enhanced Session Control: SSO now automatically clears existing session cookies whenever an authorization request explicitly includes prompt=login.
  • Secure Single Logout (SLO): Introduced full support for Service Provider-Initiated (SP-Initiated) SAML SLO with TID as the Identity Provider (IdP) to ensure users are securely logged out.
  • Stronger Web Security: Enabled HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) in the Production environment to enforce secure, encrypted connections.
  • Routine Maintenance: Successfully completed the annual mTLS certificate rotation and updated the Truststore, resolving validation issues within IAM mTLS.
  • Smoother Token Revocation: Simplified the refresh token revocation process for basic PKCE flows by removing redundant authentication checks.

✨ User Experience & TID V2

  • TID V2 Sneak Peek: The redesigned TID V2 user interface has been deployed behind a feature flag in preparation for a controlled, phased rollout.
  • Passkey Autofill: Users can now enjoy a frictionless sign-in experience with new passkey autofill support on the TID V2 sign-in page.
  • Context-Aware Scopes: Integrated the IAM apiProduct entity and subscriptions into TID, enabling the display of product- or resource-specific scopes based on the user's access context.

📊 Trust & User Scoring

  • User Trust Score (Phase 1): Rolled out the first phase of our User-Specific Trust Score, with secure background processing and database storage now fully active.
  • Workflow Analytics: Implemented a new scoring system that analyzes user state transitions during critical actions like Sign-In and Sign-Up to detect behavior patterns and improve security.

⚙️ Platform, Performance & Telemetry

  • Centralized Logging & Monitoring: Upgraded all New Relic layers across STAGE and PROD environments, integrating SAML templates and Production logs for superior observability.
  • SAML Runtime Upgrade: Boosted performance and security by upgrading the SAML Service Runtime environment from Java 17 to Java 21.
  • Flexible Token Provisioning: Added support for request-based scopes and enhanced the Token Endpoint response payload to include additional contextual fields.
  • Developer Diagnostics & Compliance: Added Azure ID token payload logs to streamline social login debugging, and structured response bodies for 303 redirects to ensure downstream API compliance.

📁 File Service

📂 Enhanced File Management & Bulk Operations

  • Unlimited Support Files: We removed the hard limit of 50 support files per main file in the V2 API. You can now upload and associate as many support files as your workflows require.
  • Smart Asynchronous Operations: To prevent transaction timeouts, Move and Restore-with-Move operations for files with over 50 support files are now processed safely in the background via asynchronous job tracking.
  • Multi-File Deletion: A new API endpoint lets you delete files across different folders in a single request—supporting partial deletion (up to 100 files) or transactional deletion (up to 25 files).
  • Batch Uploads: Introduced a new bulk-uploading operation to make importing large volumes of files faster and easier.

🔐 Security, Access & Compliance

  • External Collaboration: You can now grant edit-level permissions (via ACLs) to users outside your space membership boundary for specific files or folders.
  • Upgraded Azure Security: Replaced standard storage access keys with secure, Azure RBAC-based authorization using Service Principals to restrict access strictly to authorized operations.
  • FedRAMP Updates: Added support for secure single-part upload and download flows using S3 presigned URLs, along with activation route updates.

⚡ Performance & Platform Tweaks

  • Blazing Fast Downloads: By shifting malware scan notifications from the CDN layer to the API layer, we have significantly boosted data retrieval and download speeds.
  • Flexible API Sorting: You can now pass a sortOrder parameter (ascending or descending) to the List Folder, File, and Object Versions APIs.
  • Controlled Feature Rollouts: Advanced summarization and vectorization features have been successfully deployed behind feature flags to ensure a smooth, phased release.

🔑 IAM

🔒 Security & Administration

  • Secured Dealer Support: Implemented dedicated Dealer Support Contact attributes, protected by a rigorous new authorization model to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Automated Role Alerts: Users will now receive instant email notifications via the Developer Console whenever their roles are updated within a group.
  • Clearer Device Transfers: Integrated scheduled transfer details into the Device Listing APIs, giving owners complete visibility into pending ownership transitions.

🛠️ API & Developer Enhancements

  • Smarter App Tracking: Upgraded the Applications API to deliver granular authorization details, including precise timestamps and associated usernames.
  • GraphQL Upgrades: Reintroduced the GraphQL address resolver (supporting both account and address IDs) and added native GraphQL application listing to bolster Admin Console capabilities.
  • Streamlined User Offboarding: Provisioned a new API endpoint specifically designed to easily manage and remove direct user-to-organization relationships.
  • Expanded API Specs & Visibility: Extended the core API specification to natively support SAML2 fields, and enabled first-party applications to list authorized accounts in the Developer Console.

⚙️ Platform Modernization & Performance

  • Infrastructure Cleanup: Deprecated and decommissioned AppSync resources from the IAM infrastructure to streamline our platform architecture.
  • Smoother API Syncs: Rolled out significant performance and reliability improvements to the core API product synchronization workflows.
  • Reduced Event Noise: Implemented advanced pipe filtering for guest ownership events within cross-account groups, successfully eliminating redundant event triggers.

🌐 IoT

🚀 Feature Spotlight: Zero-Downtime Database Migrations

  • Seamless Live Sync: Launched a new Live Sync functionality that synchronizes data between legacy and new database schemas in real time. This ensures complete system consistency and zero downtime as we transition to multi-product capabilities.

🛠️ Reliability & Bug Fixes

  • More Resilient IoT Pipelines: Resolved recurring Lambda action failures within AWS IoT subscription and connection events, ensuring smoother event processing and more robust retry mechanisms.
  • Smarter Error Logging: Implemented graceful handling for invalid holderId UUIDs in license notifications. These issues are now logged for monitoring instead of being routed to the Dead Letter Queue (DLQ), keeping downstream queues clean and efficient.
  • Fixed Request Failures: Resolved a bug in Bootstrap LiveSync where repeated Lambda invocations appended duplicate Accept: application/json headers, eliminating unexpected request failures.
